Fired Up! is located in the Appalachian mountains of
eastern Kentucky in Harlan County. It is also where
I was introduced to pottery-making. I have been
painting and sketching since early childhood though in
adulthood, I have become enamored with clay. For me,
it provides the tactile gratification lacking in more familiar mediums. Also, it has an inherent Zen quality that I find particularly liberating.
